What is LOCAL?

LOCAL is an initiative across the state of Oregon to address the various environmental issues that affect people of color all across our state. Our group is made of three organizations: UNETE, NAACP and Beyond Toxics. While not all of these organizations are primarily focused on environmental issues we all agreed that we could help raise awareness and tackle the environmental problems that are impacting our communities. LOCAL works with state and local legislators to create laws and policies that improve the quality of life of all Oregonians.
